Over the weekend my family room remote took a crap(AMX R4). NOW the wife is a crazy customer from hell. "When will it get fixed, HOW am I suppose to watch tv, what can we get now to fix it".
Not to mention there is a Modero 8400 panel in a wall dock 10 feet away. Why cant she use that and shut up,"Its to big and bulky".
Not easily being able to watch tv = EMERGENCY....I guess.

Is it that hard to just answer the question?? |

No different than our regular customers that not being able to watch TV is an emergency. Except the wife probably has more leverage to get it done now:-)

or
Tell her to read a book.
or
maintain your sanity and get it fixed a.s.a.p

Im pretty sure my wife thinks I am terrible at what I do because the home system is always in pieces. Adding parts, changing programming, loaning remotes or sources to clients, never get around to wire manage or cooling.... Its crazy.

I stopped using out living room TV as my lab, I got tired of my wife calling me up while I was working because she could not watch TV.

My wife helped me perfect the user interface as far as simple to use goes and I thank her for that.
If something breaks, she's my worst "customer" ;-)

You mind if I ask what MSRP was on the Modero 8400 when it was active?

I have recently made my home office my "lab" instead of living room. I currently have a 108" SI Black Diamond Zero Edge, Epson 6010, KEF R series, T3V, Denon Turntable and Denon amp. You'd be surprised how much more work gets done.
On topic though, its better in the office because my wife never comes in here so its ok if its a constant work in progress.

My equipment rack is in the basement, and is the absolute ugliest looking rack ever. It looks like a sumo wrestler barfed out the back. It's so embarrassing that I make sure my GF does not mention what I do to the guy that comes to clean the furnace. One day I MIGHT get to cleaning it up.

Story of my life. My wife literally has had the same netflix movie for 3the months now because of my lack of urgency.
Its coming together slowly but surely.

LOL my biggest home accomplishment was redoing our living room equipment and replacing it with a rack. [Link: remotecentral.com]4 months and it still looks the same, i have another rack that needs to be put together because we have an adjacent room that has everything in place but the AVR lol (thanks denon/@v*D). I also have an rp6,t2c+,U2 etc that Duct tape has been patiently sitting on for programming until i get it put together. Edit: just placed the order for a marantz avr, maybe ill get to it next weekend. I just HATE coming home and having to deal with my system
