I installed my first ICRealtime DVR last week, and everything worked fine from within the location on both my iPad and the clients two iPhones. Leave the club, doesn't work. I figured I had an issue with the ports. I know a few open ports for Cablevision, but this is a commercial account and figured different ports are open. So I just checked from my computer via the IE client, and it logged in fine. Recheck from my iPad using the same settings, and it will not log on. Not sure what I am missing here. Have not had any issues with other DVR's before from other manufacturers.

What ports have you forwarded? I think the iOS app require more/different ports than access from IE.

If it's not simple, it's not sufficiently advanced. |

For some reason, I had to reset the TCP port within the dvr by setting it to something different, saving, then changing it back and saving again. It works great now.

On the network, it will see it but outside, it won't. YOUR computer is set up fine, but I would look at their phone settings. Do you use a smartphone to verify operation? I use am iPhone and that's the one I set up first, then copy the settings to the client's phone(s). Do they use a separate mobile port? Call tech support and get some tips- it might be a lot faster than trying to figure it out.

My post above where I said it works great may have been a bit misleading. What I meant is it is working great :-q
To answer your questions though, they have iPhones, so I set it up on my iPad first. For whatever reason, changing the TCP port in the port forwarding of the router and then changing back worked. Not sure what the issue was, but it solved the connectivity issue.

I have not used many of their DVR's (three to date). To be honest, I was not a big fan of them. I will say that I did not have any issues like you mention with those three.

Mine changes camera when I change channels on my lg television etc? Ian I've never installed DVR within the mix of AV equipments. So I have not run into this problem. However, I've integrated to control system with either IR or RS-232 while DVRs located in a diffenrent closet. IR routing is always necessary.

Due to DVRs contain hard drives. Best practice is not to place them near or close to control system atenna.
Most DVRs are now have HDMI out and are RS-232 control. Think wisely about video feed options and control options.
