Derek,

I would normally have done this, but I'm using
component video (thus the HDS4), so that appraoch
won't work -- at least not with the Denon.

Thanks,

Dawn

I dont advocate the use of switched outlets(No or comromised Surge protection), but this statement confuses me... What does the component video output have to do with the switched power outlet?

That's what I get for reading too fast. You're right, the switched outlets have nothing to do with the components. I need more sleep :)

FWIR, I'm using a Panamax 4300.

Fow What It's Rirth? You DO need more sleep, and less exposure to Scooby-Doo!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ernie,

:) That was pretty funny. I guess you're right.
