I am new to your forum and remote central in general please excuse my ignorance--I need to add a denon avr1082 ir code to a crestron program and my ir learner is in for repair--how could I get the codes and read them as text to manually put them into crestron?

Crestron allows direct importing of Pronto Hex codes into DEAL. Just open up the CCF in ProntoEdit and open up the command VIEW IR.

Why don't you go into the Crestron DB and try the driver for the Denon 3801 receiver. It will probably serve your needs + or - a couple of commands.
