Along the lines of this thread, the wife and I were out looking at a few other beach houses today.

On every single one the cable genius had run the coax across the surface of the vinyl siding and then just drilled straight through to the inside, and squeezed out a nice glob of caulking to "seal it".

Not only does this look like crap, it doesn't seal the hole they've drilled through, since there's a void behind the siding where moisture collects, and enters the wall through the unsealed hole in the actual surface beneath the vinyl siding.

No drip loops helps make this even worse....

I just start popping it loose at a joint and then pull.

Easy to snap it back into place by hand as well.

Did siding work years ago when the change from aluminum to vinyl was happening.

I installed a few thousand squares of the crap in high school too!

It's fairly easy to pull loose, unless the installer pulled it too tight!

My little "hooky/poky" tool just made it faster for me.

It also works well for stuffing wires under baseboards on impossible retro's.
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!
