Never messed with Elan before. Is there any 3rd party integration with the S6 possible?

Ip, ir or 232? Is the protocol a disaster and I assume it requires another élan device since I don't see Ethernet or 232 on the device.

It's a "try to reuse" leftover.

It's not a world of hurt when you understand it.
1. It's IR control only.
2. There is a single command set that controls all the zones.
3. You will need a system that does IR routing. If you want to use all six zones, you will need six IR outputs.

If you want 232 you will need another black box. SS1 is the part number I believe. I have an older one kicking around the shop that I would sell cheap!

There's a Pronto file and I believe the codes are in the URC database.

What mark said!

This was an amazing piece at a great price point back in the day.....IMHO

If memory serves me correct, you'd need pins 2 (+) and 7 (-) into each keypad input for IR control. I should be able to dig up all of the hex commands if you need them.

There is an AA HLX matrix. Suppose I could just lock the source 1 to 1 on the s6 and use them as amps.
