Good Day Gents (Ladies if you are here), I installed an HK AVR535 with a PA2000 for multi-room power. I also did a TSU3000 in this house and now am having MAJOR ISSUES with the remote operating the AVR unit. The problem also exsists with the factory remote. There is nothing blocking the signal, and you can be even a foot away and it takes like 10 pushes of the button for a function to work. Any ideas. We tried turning off the lights, but there are a ton of windows in the room. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How does it work at night?
Have you tried running a Xantech 480-80 CFL friendly dinkylink into the IR in jack on the HK while blocking the IR window on the front of the unit.

The most probable cause is that you are overdriving the IR receiver on the HK.
Try moving the IR repeater a bit to the side of the IR window.

Make sure you have FRESH batteries in both remotes and low ambient light when the learning is done. Also, if the original remote is defective it wont copy any better.

Check this out. Just today Im dealing with a newer Sony ES pre-amp/reciever that is intermittently unresponsive-volume up and down only- on the original remote. The remote works great on all other recievers. How bizarre and annoying is that?
