The best solution is to stop using bars of soap. I stopped and haven't had to remove soap scum since. People avoid me like the plague, but.....:D

If using bars of soap will continue, steam is probably going to work best- next best is extremely hot water, followed by using a soft scraper. The residue can be removed more easily.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Soooo.

I saw a couple things recently that supposedly will work.

For the commode: Pour a bottle of Coke in, stir it around let it sit for a few minutes, and the brush and flush.

For the shower: Use a dryer sheet. This was for the glass, but It ought to work on the tile as well.

My old trick of using the car polish is no longer good, since they quit making the stuff I used.

While this one was indeed a spam poster, you can almost always count on an old thread's resurrection being done by a new member on their first day. The Search Engine Optimization on remotecentral must be staggeringly good, because people searching for all sorts of things end up being led to a thread here that mentions what they're searching for. Even though we've posted about everything under the sun and even where the sun don't shine, and even though I made a post in this discussion, I would not have imagined this subject would EVER have come up here!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Daniel. Can you make it so the only people who can pull an old thread/post has to be a member for same or greater amount of time?
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Okay, this is a change of topic, but hey, Daniel, if you can make a change, would you make it so that we can change the default search options? I ALWAYS want to search posts, not threads, and I ALWAYS want to search by latest post, not by relevance. "Relevance" always seems to be a bit flaky, and it's not "relevant" to see a post that's a year old but is judged as more relevant than a post with the exact words I'm searching for... that's from two days ago.

You can change them. Haven’t you ever bothered?

Think I'll dredge up a thread form WAY back just to get y'all bent out of shape.

You can tell it's a very old thread, so it's easy enough to not bother opening it, right?

But noooooo. You need to open it, and then bitch about it. IN the thread!

WTH? It really is TOO FUNNY.....

I just dredged up an old thread for the hell of it, and I even commented that it was an old thread. To spice things up, it has almost the same name as a current newish thread. Enjoy.
