I've only done a half dozen of these so far, but have had a couple call backs for "sound cutting out", which as you know is the signal dropping.

At install time there are full bars on one or the other signal meters, but reception seems to vary by time of day.

If you prewire one of these, or are scoping the terrain for an add-on sale, what do you do about the antenna? Do you always plan on running it outside, in the attic, to a southern facing window, etc?

How careful do you have to be to avoid call backs for mediocre signal?

Appreciate your comments.

ALWAYS plan on an antenna extension (external antenna).

Add the cost into the bid on the front side, and there'll be no surprises.

Does that mean on the outside of the building? What does rain and sun do to the antenna?
