I've been using squeezebox and crestron iPod docks but if the onkyo / integra receivers we are already using have two way for pandora and internet radio then we might not need the squeezebox anymore for our client which would be a plus.

here's my issue (copied and pasted from what i sent to my integra support rep)

i have a question about programming.
I'm trying to get the internet radio and pandora information on to my crestron touch screens.
i successfully show the list of items that would show on the tv, on to our touch screens.
i can see the list of radio stations, and i can see text of whats playing.
so thats great.

the problem is that the only way i see to actually select from the list
is by using the up and down arrows to scroll through the list and the select button
once the item we want is active.

do you know if there is a direct command to select an item in the list?

for example - there are usually 10 items in the list at a time.
if i wanted to select item 4 in the list i would have to hit the down arrow
3 times and choose select.

instead i would like to be able to just send a command that chooses line 3
(that way the user can just tap on the line button).

i know that with the crestron iPod dock and the logitech squeezebox module programming
we have that ability.

i was hoping to have similar ability (of specific line select) with the integra two way as well.

You should be able to just send the "Select" command NTCSELECT this is just from the documentation

the problem though, is highlighting the line you want.
it currently has to be done via up and down arrow navigation.

i want a direct command that says - select line 1, select line 2, etc
so that they don't have to scroll up and down with the arrow navigation.

The docs should be on the integra intranet/dealer site.

also Crestron has modules for all of the .3 series DTRs.

from the looks of things there may not be a line X select though

You could try the NLSti command.

This is an IP only command though!

Are you programming in simpl or system builder? If it is system builder is there a command in the module that says" Browse select line 1,2,3,etc" if there is that is the command you want. You also may have to send a command "enable browse" when you select the device. Kind of like programming an audio zone for room and source select commands in a scrolling list.

Brian from Onkyo/Integra assured me that the ip commands exist. In my case I tried to use a URC KP4000 without a video display and I would not try it again. I would move slowly on this - maybe test a personal system before giving to a client.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

One of my installers just went thru all of this with a C4 system and got it all working. I have no clue what he did but he called Brian S. and C4 tech about 20 times to get it right. The C4 driver just are not 100% complete for the .3s.
