Hi All:

I am an electrical contractor in central NJ. I have an outdoor lighting / fountain job coming up where I would like to control these items remotely. I am planning on using Lutrons Radio Ra system. This family is savy to techno. and I am sure can adapt to what ever I install yet I do not want to go overboard with options. My work ethic is to always allow for the future. In this case I am not aware of any future plans however I want what ever I install to be able to be added to or interface with future devices.

Should I stay with Lutron Radio Ra or look else where!!!
Thanks All!!! You have a great site!!!
Joe

The Lutron Ra Switch will handle an 8amp Load. Should be plenty for most decorative pumps.

...and if not, use one (or any inductive-load-capable remote-control switch) to control a power relay (contactor) that can handle the load.

Lutron is great, I have used both the 8amp swith to trigger relays for waterfalls and shade controls as well as a stand alone switch for flourecents and flood lights. As far as keeping the system ready for the future that's what radio ra is all about. One system can handle I believe 32 addresses but if you max that out you can double up systems. Programming is a snap. Lutrons tech support is pretty good.
