Not a Knicks fan, but certainly happy that a guy who was completely "overlooked" is blowing up the NBA. That's +1 for the underdogs.

Simply having a reason to watch an NBA game is something in and of itself. Maybe it will not be entirely a thug league. It'll be a thug and Lin league :-D

I HATE pro basketball!! BUT Lin makes me want to watch him play, he's insane good.

I've slowly faded away from watching basketball ever since Jordan retired for the 8th time. Now that the T-puppies have Rubio/Love and Lin is lighting it up it's got me excited for basketball again. Pro basketball isn't fun to watch because the passion is gone. Lin brings that passion back and I really hope it's only beginning for him. He could have a huge problem when Mello comes back because that dude is typical NBA. Selfish and only cares about his branding. It will be interesting!

Nobody in the history of the NBA has scored more in their first 5 games than Jermey Lin. Ever! It IS more remarkable because he is asian and he is the prototypical underdog. Who's the last great asian scorer? I'm sure that was a joke but if it wasn't, WTF?

I just did a search and Mayweather is more of an idiot then I thought. But if you want a chuckle read the story CNN has about Mayweathers comments and then read the comments. Not to be racist but try to count all the comments written in engrish. Mayweather isn't 100% wrong though. If Lin was black or white he wouldn't be getting as much hype. He would still be getting hype though because he's an undrafted 6'3" Harvard grad with a real degree that has a pathetic team around him and has scored more points in his first 6 games then ANY other player in NBA history. Thats not hype thats substance. Oh and he happens to be Asian which is a market the NBA is trying to grow in.
