My buddy is looking for a pair of speakers that look cool, sound good ( do not have to be great) and are budget friendly.
He stated that he wanted them to be like furniture. I initally thought of Vienna, but they are most likley over his limited budget.

thanks

I personally think Anthony Gallo makes some of the coolest looking speakers out there, and depending on what he's using the speakers for, they have some "budget concsious" models.

I didn't say I was a dealer.  I just said they look cool.  For retail pricing, click the Buy Now button on the site.

I have a pair of Tannoy TD-8 that could fit the bill if you like the look. They are demos so i could get you a pretty amazing price.

I also have one last 5.1 kit of Tannoy Arena, black, with one pair of floor stands and the TS300 suwoofer. On this one you would not believe how aggressive i can be...

+1 they are cool looking.

Also several MartinLogan speakers have a unique look, depending on budget.

Both the ML and Gallo also sound exceptional
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

Yeah, I know about the ML's as I have had a pair of Ascent's for about 8 yrs. This is actually one of the reasons that my buddy wants some better quality spkrs, that also look cool.

I'm afraid i have to disagree. Sure the Martin Logan sound good but the Gallo are frankly quite ordinary and not much better than Bose. I spent several weeks dealing with client supplied Gallo speakers on an install and frankly they're not that great sounding. Pretty funky looking though and would probably fit the OP's requirements.

Why buy them if they don't sound as good as possible? Just looking good means part of the budget is being wasted on cosmetics- kind of like putting lipstick on a pig.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

More like buying a pig, only to apply lipstick.

How about a general area that his budget sits. Too much to assume here.
