I am having a hell of a time with switching videos on the mits plasmas. I am running the hd cable and the dvd player through the av receiver so i only have one component input, but i can't switch back to video for the tivo.
In other words, I can't get it to go to video 1 every time.
Any suggestions?

What Mits plasma do you have? THe codes have changed a bit from model to model.

Current models have discretes (Kinda) onthe remote..... There is a DVD/HD switch and a Video switch. If you have the set setup for only one HD component input (Other is set for RGB) the DVD/HD button will always bring you to the Component input discretely.

THen if you have Video set to "Inout-1" you can toggle between the 2 pretty reliably. Video-1 Macro would be

DVD/HD Input
pause
VIDEO input

and that will set it back to VIDEO-1 as long as it was left on VIDEO-1

HD input would be simply HD/DVD button since it is a discrete at that point.

I think this trick works on all xx20 and xx30 units.

You could also ad the Mits HD-5000 External HD Decode/Scaler as well and have full discrete control.
