Are any of you Canadian guys using Staub Electronics for SnapAV products. I just started using them and they shipped my order to another customer. I'm all for grace on a one off screw up but would like to know if they are generally pretty consistent......or not......Dealing with the west coast from Ontario is a pain at the best of times.....

Haha, I was going to say that.

As for your question, I have placed a few orders with Staub, no problems whatsoever. I'm in Pickering.

Actually, it's only misspelled if you think there's one way to spell it. He spells it both ways several times on the home page. I kinda think that's a spelling error, no matter which way you think it should be spelt.

He also sometimes places a space after a comma, sometimes not, and even sometimes places a space before a comma. I'll let you know when I'm off the home page....
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

LOL..It's acceptable up here to spell it both ways. The reason you see is spelled both ways is for site optimization. Some will search for Home Theatre..some search for Home Theater.....Spaces and commas are strictly for paragraph spacing........Ernie you're killing me.....LOL

Okay, I'm off the home page.

He's a pretty good writer. I hope he's spending more time doing great theaters and great theatres than he is worrying about those commas and spaces.

Besides, neither theater nor theatre is wrong, especially in Canada. That's not a slam, either -- how are you supposed to spell things -- Britlike or Americanese -- when you're in a country that did not enthusiastically reject British rule, and that also just happens to border a huge country that did? England and America are two countries famously described as separated by a common language, and Canada is in a worse mess, linguistically. After all, they also have their rabid French division, the world's first proof that multiculturalism splits countries rather than just being a nice benign way to act.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

It's tough when the spelling and pronunciation are so different, like this skit-

Stupid American so self-absorbed and not even thinking that there's a whole world out there that has semi-intelligent life on it. Your version of English isn't even English. And then you have the balls to try to correct someone. Stupid American.

Of course this is coming from an American that's born and raised just south of the Mason Dixon line. If you think that theater being spelled wrong is bad try getting some phillips head screws while you're in Canada!!
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

Been dealing with Staub for the last 12+ years and love their service. Get barely any back orders, very few problems. I do deal with them a lot so maybe that's it. Have known Dave the owner for over 25 years.

UTSdigitalslop I have to disagree with you on several things about Staub. They do give perks to dealers who do business with them. This year they give an all expenses paid trip to Puerto Vallarta everything included, even spouses where paid for. Just like Snap AV they HAVE loyality programs, you just have to do some business with them. If they don't have stock upgrades are always offered.

Gman-north Where you not offered a solution? Dealing with the West Coast has its advantages, you can place an order at 6pm your time, have the order aired out and it should be there by 10am your time.

Kirk,

Thanks for jumping in...Yes, Brian is taking care of it. He is shipping a new order to site for us tomorrow. My lead will let me know if it arrives or not.

I probably dont need to mention this, but, we lost time and money because of the mix up.

I emailed Snap and asked why they don't have a distributor in Ontario. They said distributors were approached here but all they wanted to do was cherry pick their product while Staub had total commitment in carrying the whole line, even going as far as expanding their warehouse.

I didn't want to say this but it would be good if they had something like AVAD in Ontario, where purchasing is made so easy I can call for a cable and get it the next day. And if I have to return something I can just drive to the warehouse to return. I like all of the other distributors, and wish I could support them more, but they just can't match the selection of product at AVAD so unfortunately I seem to be doing less business with them.

If Snap were in Ontario I would definitely be buying more from them. Maybe someone here can join me in starting a distribution company.
