I have a job with a LG LSS-3200A and a Channel Master
4228 w/ preamp. When tuning channel 8-1 out of Indy the audio will drop out momentarly (a few seconds) from time to time. The customer noticed when someone turned on the hair drier on the audio would drop out and then again when they turned it off. Sure enough the drier would cause the problem. Since the bathroom was on the other side of the wall I thought it might be a proximty issue. So I had the customer take the hair drier down stairs to try it in a different location, when she unplugged her CO2 detector to plug in the drier, the audio dropped out. Every time we pluged in or unplugged the CO2 detector the audio dropped out.

So if these 2 items can cause the drop outs who knows what else can! I would think anything that cycles would cause the problem. ( refridg, air cond, water pump )

Any ideas how to solve this?

Sounds like you need a power line filter

I would advise your customer that the only way to properly diagnose the problem is to come over in the morning and watch her bathe and dry her hair.
