edizzle -- it just seems like the guy wants us to put concrete only on the inside of the pole.

After re-reading my post, I could see where a person might think (especially Ernie) that you should fill the pole with concrete.  So for the sake of clarification, you fill the hole with concrete.  Filling the pole with concrete would be dumb, really really dumb.
