I have a 3200a in a job thats acting weird and wanted to see if anyone else has run into this.

The box is only connected to the Dish... Standard 3LNB HD... No Antenna feed, No Cable feed.

One day, the box decided to add all the off air local stations for no apparent reason.... My guess is that someone ran a channel scan of some sort.... ANyway, the result was all the local stations appearing in the guide and being nothing but static (of course)

So I went through and removed all the locals from the guide list (Couldnt find an option to remove the station totally) and everything was good.

(Problem was that if you hit CH+ it would try to tune to the antenna station and of course would be static.....)

The next week, the stations re-appeared when hitting ch+/Ch-

Thought that was weird so I went back and removed all the local stations again....

Just got another call...... They are back again.....

ANyone have any insight?

I had the exact problem you describe but with the sister box Sony HD200, no one had done any fiddling
with the channel add/subtract menu. I initially thought that the kids were doing it.

However, after dropping by this job 3 to 4 times to
remove locals from the list, it still had the problem.
I then called Sony to let them know, they couldn't help.

I finally had to put in a samsung to solve the problem. I think it is some sort of software glitch that is caused by the APG downloads.

This is typical of Satellite systems, your profit keeps getting eliminated by some unknown problem that probably is known about in the manufacturer's realm. Directv Tivo gave me at least 10 jobs with problems that was "access card is full", finally they pulled their heads out and figured out they had a bad batch of access card. This gave me quite a headache.

Probably no help, but at least I could give a little "insight".

THIS IS BECAUSE EVERY TIME THE POWER IS LOST THE UNIT DOES A CREATE CHANNEL LIST... OTHER THAN THAT OVERSIGHT THIS IS A GREAT RECEIVER... THE LG, ZENITH, HUGHES AND SONY ARE ALL THE SAME. THE ONLY DIFF ON THE HUGHES IS NO RF REMOTE AND NO LOCAL ANT SIGNAL METER. THE RF REMOTE IS NOT A PROBLEM BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT USE RF AND IR AT THE SAME TIME.
