I was told last year that B&K was going to be making different trim rings (for different types of installs), ability to put in same box as a light switch or in a three or more gang box...any help would be appreciated.

Having dealt with B&K for over a decade, I have found out through repeated and painful experience ("Thank you, sir, may I have another?") that B&K is always late with new products, as much as a year or more. The CK1.2 was just under a year late, I think.

Also, wouldn't there the the issue of code with low voltage and line voltage in the same box? Yes, you could use a divider, but a noisy dimmer or a nosy inspector could ruin your plan and your day.

I am currently using an intellipad in a three gang box with a divider and is working just fine....Am moving to a new house that I will be wiring up so I don't have to worry about an inspector....just though it would look better then two seperate two gang boxes side by side.

Thanks

How you read NEC or your locality's addendum to NEC may make this possible or not. If you were to use 600 volt tray cable you might be able to do so.

They might also make a box,as does Lutron, that while separating low and high voltage make it possible to install a common face plate. Who would supply this custom plate might be interesting, unless they somehow managed to shoehorn it into some common size.

Most all small companies are late bringing products to market. It is a function of small engineering staffs and software issues. It's a pain but also a fact of life
