I just went back through all the posts and cant
find one where anyone said that the Russound system
sucked.... I cant even find a response that indicated
the system was bad.

You did however post that the system does NOT sound very good, in response to another post. Isn't that pretty much the same thing?

All that said.... You CAN get Much better sound
quality at the same price point. It may not be
zoned.... But it will sound better.

Again, not really comparing apples to apples are you? Zoned, with IR, and source selection versus NOT zoned would hardly be something comparable.

As for the AudioAccess comment in the last response....
Obviously some who doesnt know the product very
well.

I'm quite familiar with the product, thank you very much. I'm going to leave it at that.

Come on Trunk Slammer, Now we gotta fight..LOL..For real though..I have installed tons of Audio Access systems..and use them almost excusively when swapping over from Soundstream systems..They allow me to swap over without any additional wiring at all..Anyway, which products specifically..If I were to use the term "bulletproof" for a system it would be the Audio Access..Hell, I have even seen it fix itself..Weird Black magic stuff..

No I wouldnt not consider thatthe same thing..... I feel "Very Good" Would be above "Good" on any scale.....

If we're comparing SOUND QUALITY (And thats what I was doing) the Functionality of the Head end really doesnt come into play. But if you look at the Speakercraft EASY-6 System, you'l notice that the price range is in the same ballpark.... ANd offers even MORE functions and flexibility.

Impaqt,

You need a new accountant. The Speakercraft equivalent is not close in price to Russound.

A-MK401 room kit MSRP=1499 and add another 501 to make it a 6 room to compare to the 6-room EASY 6. $2K

Speakercraft BB1235 MSRP$950
Speakercraft IRC-4.0 X 6 MSRP$600
SpeakercraftEASY6 MSRP$800
Cables MSRP$60
TOTAL MSRP$2410

Both the systems have One remote included, but the Speaker craft will need the in-wall keypads or purchase another 5 remotes just to get it to work in the other 5 rooms, which is more $$. ($300)
The Speakercraft will sound better! No question. I think anyone would rather have a seperate 35Wpch on their speakers.
The russound has a local audio input plate for using sources not racked together. This is a big plus to me!

The Russound A-BUS system sounds fine to me with efficient speakers. Most of my clients are using it for background sound within the home. The levels are low so they may carry on a conversation with friends.
There is usually one room, the Deck, which gets a more expensive and external amplifier. Now the costs are getting closer together.
My point is I like Russound and Speakercraft. I like Russound better in terms of user interfaces.
I like Speakercraft speakers more than anyone elses at this point.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.
