I posted this in another forum and decided that it applies to most forums here.

I was just reading another thread where the comment was made that this or that always has problems. I read about them at remotecentral all the time.

I just wanted to take a moment and say that I install a lot of different stuff for different clients in different cities, and most of the time, "Nothing at all is wrong." In other words, IT WORKS.

I thought it would be nice if a thread like this existed to counter the idea that ALL of these products have problems.

I am reminded of comments I have heard on the radio...
So you say that you don't know ANYBODY who voted for Bush? Well, no matter what you think of the Supreme Court and the decision, it is a fact that almost exactly half of the population voted for Bush. Now, if you don't know ANYBODY who voted for Bush, then you are leading a life where you are not even acquainted with A FULL 50% of the population of the country you live in! Are you living in a bubble, or what? How can you come to reasonable conclusions about political issues if you are so lopsided in your exposure?

The same goes for this forum. Lots of complaints does not mean the products are bad, and it is WAY more than 50% that are good from the get-go!

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

That's just the nature of the beast (the beast being us, humans) to be loud when things go wrong & quietly content then things work. Way back in my days in retail, I remember my boss telling me "customers tell 10 times more people about a bad shopping experience than a good one".

Most posts here are from people looking for assistance. If everything works, no assistance is needed. So in the spirit of the post, I'll say loud & strong:

MOST PRODUCTS I SELL & INSTALL WORK WELL

No product is perfect for every install. There's always something you wish it did differently, or did at all. We all do the best we can with what we have.

BTW, I'm sure SOMEONE I know voted for Bush... they just won't admit to it. Remember those bumper stickers from 1974: "Don't Blame Me - I Voted For McGovern!"
