there are probably a dozen wifi analyzer apps on itunes to give you the info you need.

Unfortunately no unless the device is jailbroken. Apple disabled the wifi card API and so there are no apps available to tell you on which wifi channel you are.

If this was already mentioned I'm going to look like an ass.

Have you ever heard of blanket wifi? It's supposed to be the "latest craze." It has a controller that allows the use of one MAC address throughout the whole project. The iphone (or whatever) thinks it's connected to same WAP and never actually roams. Cool!

I just tried to look for a link or two. It seems like Extricom is making the news though.

Thanks for the info. It seems Extricom offers "managed wifi" systems or a similar techmology and is a competitor to Ruckus. From a brief look it also seems to be more expensive than Ruckus so it will only suit high-end resi projects. I will research this more.
