I've gotta convince customers all day why bose sucks, I'm not gonna spend time at home doing it to.

Well, Bose bashing is always fun though. I couldn't tell you how many customers have told me that the wave radio "sounds good" on TV. Maybe if other brands (or custom installers) put forth the effort into demonstrating and marketing their products as bose, then they would sell better. Furthermore, I always advocate how much I love Bose's no price negiotation policy! How great is that?

It boggles my mind how often i get into an argument about this. If I ever hear "but i thought Bose was the best" again i will officialy lose it. Take a prospective client to a finished theater you've done (or your showroom) and they'll never utter these words again. (Doesn't matter what type of equipment you use) -
I've even got into fights with my boss becuse he wants to start dealing Bose because of all the money to be made! Told him hell no - you can hire someone else if you want to downgrade the quality of work we do -
Sorry guys - just neede to vent!

Below is a link to probably the best un-emotional perspective on BOSE that I've seen. I'm not afraid of pointing somebody to this link as it saves me getting all aggravated and my shorts in a knot. If they still think BOSE is great and not willing to explore other solutions then I'm not their guy.

In addition, the local BOSE dealer has a reputation for doing sloppy work and damaging walls and wood trim. Contractor hate his work, I love it.

Cheers

BOSE, you gotta love their marketing.....

Try this one on. This past weekend our company had a display @ a home show put on by the local HBA. We had a Fujitsu 42" Panel on Display complimented with a PSB surround system running denon electronics.

You wouldn't beleive how many people said "WOW, THAT MUST BE A BOSE SYSTEM WE ARE LISTENING TO."

If I had a gun I would have gone postal.

I'll be doing a similar setup for a builders show in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to deal with the feeble minded. Thank god for the free alcohol at these things.
