I just purchased the Delphi XM radio, and have been trying to use it with my Niles Intellipad system.
What I've learned is thet the Delphi remote uses toggle controls (?correct term) with the remote, so you can never use the same key twice (e.g. enter 2-2, etc).
Is there some workaround for this?
Someone had mentioned using Macros and a "dummy string" for the second toggle.
Could someone explain how I would go about doing this? I also have the Sony RM-V2100, which also has the same problem with the XM radio. I'd really appreciate any help.
Thanks.
Dave

Dave,
The macro method would require a "dummy" command from the original Delphi remote that has no efffect on the command you are trying to perform. Each command programmed into the Intellipad would actually be a macro consisting of the desired command followed by the "dummy" command.
I once programmed a Philips DVD/VCR combo into a universal remote using a slightly different method. Since the TV/VCR command had no effect on any operation (using video outputs only), I was able to teach the universal remote, through trial and error, the desired command immediately followed by a quick "stab" of the TV/VCR button. It took a while, but it worked. The "dummy" command resets the toggle bit in the device, and successive desired commands are possible.
Of course, this all depends on the availability of a "dummy" command, but, this should give you some ideas.
Good luck,
Scott

Which XM radio do you have? SA10000? I just learned in the delphi codes into my rm-av2100 and it worked just fine, numeric buttons and channel + & -, make sure you hold the btton on the XM remote untill the sony remote beeps.
Also, are you using the remote through a repeater system?
