I'm an older guy who will be retiring from my job in a few years and I would like to work in the Home Theatre trade. I don't want my own business but would like to work with an experienced installer who is willing to take on a "project" employee. Any suggestions?

Where are you located?

Can you invest in your initial education?

I would recommend you sign yourself up for some CEDIA training www.cedia.net - right there you are worth $20/hr. There are many companies that would hire you just because of that.

Acutually I know of a company called Gizmo that is hiring and they are looking for CEDIA qualified people but you might be able to get in without it.

It's www.gizmo-la.com
