We use Lutron only. They have some good features:
  • Virtually silent
  • Hembar alignment
  • Preset positioning
  • positional feedback
I have not come across any other shade device that can do all of this. Crestron probably does but they don't sell it in the UK. QMotion are cheaper but less well featured. All the Somfy shades we have ever been involved with are way noisier than the Lutron. Lutrons support has always been great.

Just my (limited) experience.
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?

Just an FYI since this post was resurrected this year, I am not sure if you ever decided on a solution for shades. Somfy has come a very long way in recent years with quiet motors, now offering both AC and DC ultra quiet motors, some that are quieter than Lutron. Any DC motor from Somfy can be speed adjusted too. They are the world leader in motors and are the most openly integratable with any system or method or wiring.

For folks integrating the URTSI, remember to leave the dial on 01 if you just have the one URTSI connected via RS232, some folks have had less comms trouble using RS485 which also allows you to daisy chain URTSI's and address each URTSI by leaving the dial on 01, 02, etc.

still cant beat Lutron integration, thus Somfy still sucks for integration. Period.
