Is anyone doing PTZ with Crestron or AMX? If so, what can you recommend?

Holy crap! Where have you been? Are you talking about Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras? If you are...Our company has done it with Crestron, but I have only seen it from a "web based" view, controlled via web. I'll ask around for you tomorrow. What specifically do you need to know?

Iv been here, Checking in daily. Still waiting for someone to come though with some bandwidth'd server to host IP.

Anyways, ya. Crestron... Pan and Tilt cams... Residential enviorments...

Any sugjestions? Ill probly pipe the sig though a modulated channel as well as into an IP server to view view the internet. With the use of X-Panel or E-Control ill give them the control of the cams as well. Shouldnt be that big of a deal. I was wondering what cams there may be mods for already!

Boy, I hope that's not a shot at me! There's been a server ready and waiting for two weeks now...just need the transfer to happen, which seems to be easier said than done, since I can't get the database off an unplugged server somewhere on the east coast.

LOL

I've used the Pelco Spectra domes with Crestron before, and also have a module for the Philips AutoDome. There should be many other brands/models available too...

The Kalatel Cyberdome's are pretty cool too. Basis 422 Control or 232 with a simple adaptor...
