Has any one out there had any experience with this piece. There is a thread going on in the Crestron forum that suggests that this piece is UHF controlled only. I hope that some one can tell me differently here. There is no serial port on the thing so that is out, but I'm still hoping for IR. Can any one confirm one way or the other.

It responds to Dish's standard IR codes. The remote that is supplied is only RF. To get the most functions, you should get a Dish 721 remote and learn any codes that are not available via Pronto CCF, or MX-700.

We haven't been able to get our hands on any yet but if they are anything like the 522 and 322 then the First tuner is UHF/IR and the second tuner is UHF only.

I have one at home, and have installed a few. I'm running it off a MX-700 without a problem.

I heard that they stopped release of the 921 due to software bugs...they claim to be working them out currently and it is due for re-release soon. Anyone else know what is going on with this?

I just got back from a seminar for Dish Network and they told us that the no nonsense answer for when the 921 will be re-released is 45 days from today.

This unit comes with an RF remote but has IR capability...ir sensor on the front.
