My guess is that you might be able to get one cassette to work, but maybe not the other. Switching from A to B is a switch likely to be missing, just like most universal remotes don't have an INPUT switch for TVs.

You need a pioneer or (pioneer made) RCA receiver or at least a CD player, for this Tape deck doesn't have remote sensor. The Radio shack 15-2116 still has tape codes, deck A-0220, deck B-0027.
