Goal: Audrey or older touchscreen tablet computer as the remote, for web page display only.
Use a "backend" computer to send the IR signals (el cheapo windows machine running IIS or HomeSeer). So here's the plan:

Audrey or Touchscreen PC (browser control X-10 & IR)
|
LAN or 802.11b

PC w/ IR output (runs web server)
||
|| IR signal
||
A/V Equipment

Anyone doing this?

What would also be nice is a full Pronto Emulator to run on the PC w/o needing a Pronto remote (simular to PDAwin.com 's app that runs on the iPAQ)

Unless some kind soul to write an app that will send IR codes via a simple command sent from a web page/server.

On my site [Link: home.hccnet.nl] in the Projects: remote control section you find a simple IR device which connects to the parallel port. There is also software which uses (intercepts) ProntoEdit/Emulator data and sends it to this device (no need for a Pronto).
