Although we sell Niles, we have yet to install a Niles system. Though new ZR-4630 looks very promising.
Our staple WH system is Elan. Once trained it is easy to install, very flexible, and easy for the end user to operate.
We will be installing a ZR-4630 within the next couple of months, so I'll let you know about the Niles.

Speakers...by far Sonance ( I`m not a dealer ), the best sound for an In-wall and high quality products.
Multiroom Russound...easy to use, installed, good sound and quality.

I have been really impressed with Matrix Audio. They are a life saver for those retro jobs that already have 16/4 run to volume controls, since their keypads use the speaker cabling as a carrier of the signal info. And you can stack them for more zones, as well as add one at a time with their zone expanders. They are top-notch quality, and less-per-zone than many other systems. The ZR-4630 from Niles does look interesting... Sonance are great, so are Niles. Russound is hitting a lower segment of the market, but still good. Speakercraft, however, seems to have the best balance for both ends of the scale. The AIM series are way cool for the higher end.

I have a retrofit job that the Matrix would be perfect for, but the client wants more power. Can you use external amps with the Matrix system?
Thanks.

Why doesn't anybody use Xantech? Where do they fall? I am planning on using them for one simple reason: availability. You can find it on the web and discounted and they have the most complete line of products. I am just installing my own system, and don't do it for a living, so maybe availability is less of an issue for you guys that have established dealers/distributors to buy from.

I was talking about the whole package from the custom wall plates, to speakers, to distributed audio, to amplifiers, to availability and RA's.
I've never dealt much with Russound or Elan, but I like Sonnance better than Niles for pretty much everything!
Anyone else have anything to say?

I have installed the MRC44 and works very well, you can program keypads with windows software and make macros and 2nd press functions, also you can customize the lcd even icons ( haven't try this feature yet ), i used also the current sensor option and is awsome. Keypads use a very nice bracket in a double gang.
