I really had a good laugh at this one this morning. White Van is probably out working hard and making money while we slam his thread.

Still, really funny

Coincidentally, I ran into the same issue on a job today.  Thank goodness I came across this thread.  I had the problem fixed in no time.  Thanks RC!

I don't know how many times I come on here to type up a really frustrating problem that has had me running in circles for hours... then once I articulate the problem so others will understand, I suddenly see the complete obviousness of the solution.

Like when I couldn't figure out why an LED on a C4 keypad (which was supposed to be Red for door locked and Green for door unlocked) was turning Blue when the Room Off event triggered. I'm searching driver versions, firmware versions, checking error logs for communication problems, etc.

Know why it was turning blue when the room turned off?

Because I had an old programming script that said "When room turns off, set LED color to blue."

Shocking! :)

LMAO!
You guys crack me up.

It was a question that I answered about 3.5 seconds after I hit the post button.

At 4.5 seconds after hitting the post button I began to shake my head followed by muttering the words "Duh" and "If I don't take a vacation soon I could end up permanently stupid."

Wow, you've been practicing.
Yes, the Pioneer Elite CD/DVD Changer and Sonys Changer both do the job.

That experience is EXACTLY why I'm such a prick about us all writing out the question accurately, and being sure that no details of the question are left out, and that you question your assumptions. I want you to have the great experience of finding the answer in the question. The terrifically asked question often answers itself.

I once ran across a story of an engineer who had a design problem and wanted to ask the head engineer, of whom he was actually afraid. He refined his question, realized what the head engineer would ask him, refined, refined... then had the answer. If you do that, you will understand more and become the more powerful analyst and, of course, designer and installer.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

but it can leave you with an inferiority complex, took me years to get over the b**tard.
