Anybody know a way that a Panasonic DVD-R that is only capable of burning DVD ram or DVD-R burn something recorded on TIVO in DVD-R format. As it goes now it will only burn in DVD ram. Customer would like to play on another player in bedroom that is not a DVD-ram player. It will record in DVD-R from recorded local broadcasts but not a pay-per-view movie. Thanks

Are you saying that the Panasonic DVD-R will record lots of things in DVD ram or DVD-R, but it will only record from TiVo in DVD ram? Or will it "only burn" EVERYTHING "in DVD ram." ? ?

I assume you are taking audio and video out of the TiVo and trying to burn it with the DVD-R? Maybe there is some kind of macrovisionization going on here. See other threads elsewhere about this.

I heard that the only real problem with a Pana DVD-R is that its recorded product will only necessarily play on another Pana DVD-R, so there is your solution, at least until the market opens up a bit.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
