weve been installing/selling these badboys like crazy, so far we love everything about this brand, does anyone have any negative feedback about the ML speakers?

They are great for the right person. They are now owned by Paradigm. I would expect a change in distribution methods but I would suspect it would be for the better.

The only complaint I have is the in-ceiling speakers. They come with this ugly ass grill tab. (in my opinion anyways)

Recently I ordered 2 ML Speakers and 1 had it and one didn't. Not that it was missing, the grill didn't have a logo tab. I obviously like it better without it, so I called ML and they told me to remove the tab on the one that had it. I was like, "It has an indention there and it is obvious something has been removed." I was told that was my only recourse other than buying another grill. I was pretty pissed but they act like we should be thankful they are letting us sell them so I decided not to pursue it. That's my only complaint. Pretty large lack of customer service.

I have no way to know. That would be my guess. I was there for a conversation with the powers that be about exactly that but they just wanted our opinions and expressed none of their own. I am sure they are monitoring the situation and trying to decide what to do with this company. You know those guys run a super-tight ship and are very pro-CI so I am sure restoring ML to it's throne of an exclusive high-end brand is most likely in the works. I would love to see some credibility restored to that brand whether it be just approving the dealers that Big-A sells to as many others do or taking the line direct only again. This line best lends itself to "Custom Retailers" because it really needs to be displayed and heard to be sold properly. I would love to see ML succeed.

You sure about this? Haven't heard ANYTHING about it and there is nothing on ML's dealer forum about it either.

True, but i think the first thing they need to do is rip the line out of the big box store asap.

Jed, your statement is entirely correct. ML is owned by the same holding company that owns Paradigm.

As for their customer service, I have experienced nothing but 5 star service, in the rare event I have needed anything from them over the last 12 years I've been a dealer.
Is the line perfect? No...(no one i). But they are constantly bringing out more CI related products and there is a lot in the line that is desirable.

I think their in ceiling speakers are amazing, but yes, I do wish they would change/eliminate the little triangle logo on the grill.

Their in wall speakers are outstanding. Some don't like the grills, but I think they are unique and the world doesn't need another in wall that looks like the thousands of other in walls on the market.

Their new "Motion" line of speakers are sonic savants!!! They utilize an updated version of the old air motion tweeter (Heil). I wish the backs of the book shelf speakers in the Motion line were better designed to accommodate more universal style brackets. But the Motion speakers are beautiful, unique and sound wonderful. Reviews are starting to get published and all are very complimentary of this new line for them.
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

So... what type of equipment are you guys using to push the ML's?

My uncle had an old pair of floorstanding speakers and it seemed like they couldn't get enough power. Then again, he's a little cheap and didn't want any new equipment.

100% sure. It is no secret. Otherwise I would have never mentioned it.

All dealers that A**D sells the Martin Logan line to are submitted to and approved by ML at a national level which has been the program since the partnership began.
