Good day

Using a new laptop and trying to get CCp and an MX980 to work. Running Windows 7 64 bit. When i called tech support today (who was very RUDE) told me to download the Mobile Device Center. He then hung up fast and really could have cared less for my phone call.

Anyway, i have done this and i still can't get the programming to upload. I am wondering if anyone has insight into how i can get this to work

Thanks
Thanks

This should work:

I had an issue with an MX-3000 and Windows 7, did this and it work--it was a pain, though.

Another popular fix: Go to Microsoft's site and download the drive for Windows Device Manager 32 or 64 bit driver. Run the .exe and it will fire up WDM and allow you to select the driver option in the above blog.

NOTE: You wtill have to use WDM to sync your MX-3000.

Try using a different cable?

Assuming that you have a desktop icon for URC, can you right click on the icon, click on Properties and select a different OS in Compatibility Mode?

I would try it on the computer I'm using at the moment, but URC hasn't replied to the e-mail I sent a couple of months ago, requesting access to the dealer portal, so I haven't loaded CCP onto it. Maybe that's why I have no desire to use their stuff- dealing with their so-called 'support' staff just isn't worth my time.

Dear MrVideo,
You are in a unique position. You can answer a question that comes up often when people make their first post. Actually it's more than one question...

Why are you sharing a minute detail of how a website works NINE YEARS after it was last mentioned here?

I mean, you realize that each post has its date and time indicated in the blue stripe above the post, right?

Anyway, it regularly happens that someone posts about an antique occurrence or conversation... someone else here responds and we're off to the races. Then the really amusing thing happens: a member suddenly notices that the entire conversation is YEARS old, so no longer relevant... and that member gets upset at being tricked into joining an obsolete conversation.

Anyway, let me add something irrelevant. Then I'll go away for now.

This is very likely more or less what the guy who asked in Post 4 looks like today:

I posted about the link in case a new poster reads this thread and thinks about trying the link, like I did. Just trying to save a newbie a little time.

How did you find a picture of Brent?

Especially one that shows him right after answering MY questions. :-)

That DOES look like him, doesn't it?

The answer is, of course, reddit.
