I just took a 55" LED, model LN55B8000 (I Think) off the wall. I rehung and it is now in demo mode. I've been screwing with it for 30 minutes trying to get it back into home mode. Any ideas short of a nuclear device

I think when it's unplugged for a bit and then replugged you get an option for home or demo use (at least thats what happens upon initial power up).  Try a hard reboot for a few minutes

Try it for a few more minutes?

What does it say in the manual?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Is the tv hooked up to the internet?  Have you tried to see if there is a software update?  I forget where in the menu it is but i know for sure its there somewhere.

good luck, if you figure it out please post back

We had a 40" LCD go bad a couple of years ago.. It was stuck in demo mode. Factory reset would not solve the problem.. Tech repair came out and found out the board went bad.
I'll let you know tomorrow..

I had a horrible time a while back with one of those. Some how it was getting commands from the Denon receiver and it would change inputs automatically. I had to get with tech support for both Denon and Samsung. Samsung had no clue but luckily the Denon group was a bit more up to date with the issue. I had to get into the menu of the TV to turn some applications off to get it to stop changing inputs when I changed an input on the receiver. If you ever run into that problem, I hope this helps.

We are seeing our share of Samsung LED's going bad. A client of ours bought an 8000 3D LED at BB and it took 3 units to get one working display. Was at a project yesterday with a 7000 and half the functions on the remote did not work... So glad we did not sell that one as well...

Just had a 55" LED 7000 series go bad with all 4 HDMI inputs stop working. I hope this isn't a trend. We didn't sell him the TV but we may have to "help" in getting it fixed.
