Does anyone know of discrete codes for the sharp aquas 37"LCD TV? Ive tried both sharp tv and RPTV discrete files with no luck.

I need them too! I also tried the discrete codes posted, but as you point out, they do not work for the 30" and 37", except for the power on/off commands.
Is there any way to get these? Have folks tried contacting Sharp (I do hear their support sucks though, and if it's anything like my personal experience trying to get discrete's from Sony, it'll just make me mad!)
How about reverse-engineering them - anyone a creative genuis with an o-scope or something who could test/tinker until they got them?
I just need the discrete inputs... would be willing to pay if someone could engineer them if need be.
Any leads on what to do next?
Thanks, Jcd

In case it helps, they are there via RS-232 except I think power on or even toggle power (who knows why).

JGB - AWESOME!! Thanks very much indeed!
Um, now... can anyone give me a bump on how to convert these to the IR hex? It looks like these are binary, right? I'm not sure how to convert these.
I'm dying to try them though!!! If these work, I will be thrilled.
Thanks again JGB - I hope these work for us.
Regards, Jcd

FWIW, since I know many folks are/will be looking for these codes, I submitted the Excel spreadsheet to Daniel for posting to the files archive (don't see it there yet though!).
Hopefully someone will be able to help decode them so they are usable.

Has anybody had any luck with these codes. I tried pasting them in to a ccf and got a message saying "Data does not define a valid ir code".
Thanks in advance
Steve

I got the spreadsheet from JGB. These codes look like the ones that I converted for the smaller Aquos sets. I are currently working on verifying some codes that were found for the Home Theater Master remote. As soon as I get some verified codes, I will post them in Pronto Hex Code format. For those of you who want to mess around with Hex codes further, check out this article on the Hex Code protocol. It lays out the method to convert the information posted here. [Link: hometeam.com]
