Does anyone know where the IR receiver is on a Mitsu WS-73711 RPTV? I am working on a system remotely and need to find out.
... also I was not able to successfully get the IR control ports on the rear panel to function. I tried sending both regular IR and "carrier frequency stripped IR" commands. Is it necessary in this instance to us a Xantech universal interface?
TIA
Tom

Not 100% sure but I am pretty sure the IR sensor is behind the screen. As for the IR ports on the back those are for sending out IR commands to other devices as part of the net command feature of the mits tvs. I don't believe those connections can actually recieve codes for the TV. Joe

Tom, you can get to the IR receiver by removing the bottom panel in the back where you'll see a squarish circuit board. You can also get to it by removing the top half of the set. The set seaks in half to ease getting it around corners and up and down stairs
