I have a Global Cache' GC-100. I think it's an awsome product.
Unfortunately it seems like it only operates with products that have built in drivers. (Like Premis) I programmed one using a Premis system it works fine.
I'd rather write my own html and send it commands based on web page button presses.
Has anyone used this with other than "packaged" systems like Premis.
Better yet, does anyone have a simpler method to communicate with one?
Many thanks,
Richard

Well, I spent a month talkin to these folks over there, I wanted the same features I get with an "Extron" piece. But no luck. They seem to not want to build this feature as it would obviously upset the balance with the partners they allready have. If a box did that you wont need anything but a web pad!
BARIX is supposed to be making one,Webdyncast has one (French company) but does not import it yet and it costs $1500! At that point ya may as well do an X-pannel from crestron.
But in short the Extron IPL T S2 IS shipping now, it has 2 RS232 ports, at CEDIA they said it would do IR as well.

There is a discussion of the GC-100 on Netremote. Go there and do a search for Global Cache
