Which Screen Manufacturer is everyone using? We currently are using Vutec and it looks and works great and is priced right but i hat the way the fabric mounts to the frame (velcro) it never seems to go on right until the third or fourth try, it always stretches. We have used draper and dalite and they work great but the boss hates the extra cost, just curious thanks

Is the Vutec really cheaper, when you add the cost of the extra labor associated with it? Is your boss aware of the extra time needed?

av...
jwalkup makes a really good point. Tell your boss about the additional labor, and tell him you get what you pay for!
Even Da-Lite and Stewart budget screens snap together, and have optional covers to hide the snaps...I think draper does too

Stewart Firehawk, Greyhawk, Nice screens EASY to assemble look great. The buttons are covered by the fabric. Did I mention easy assembly?

We have used Vutec fixed screens in the past. Then we tried a Stewart Firehawk. Both me and my installers will not go back. We had a 130" Vutec that ripped the velcro off the frame only 2 weeks after install. It was a 2 1/2 hr drive each way. That was an expensive service call. :-(

You have to look behind the booths, a few of the manufactures have "Refreshments" especially during the speakercraft night. It also helps to know which reps really really like to have a drinking partner, i mean nobody actually wants to be their friend but i will drink with them. Thats all the help i can give unless i want the watering hole to dry up

I like free beer as much as the next guy, but listening to a rep tell me all about how he was in the custom business, and how good he did in it, before he became a factory rep, is just asking TOO much.
Sorry, can't help myself. I always get to the point of no return. When I finally let loose with "Well, damn, if you were so great at custom, then why the hell are you just a factory rep now? Is it because you can talk the talk, but couldn't really do the walk as well?"
