I have been trying to get IR functions to work reliably on a Crestron (ST-CP) and a Marantz RH9300 HD music server (ZIVA). The crestron database driver and the one I created just will not operate the cursor and enter commands? Any suggestions besides s**t canning the RH9300 (not possible at this point)

And the unit works reliably from the native remote? Through an IR repeater running the same flasher the Crestron is driving? Check those two things first.

Once you're sure the IR portion is OK, try playing with the repeats setting in IR Deal for those commands. I just set up IR Deal in front of the component and hunker down until the driver works perfectly with the internal test function (also known as the B&O Hunker).

Why run ir functions? Crsetron has developed a macro for all of the Xiva products w/ bidirectional communications via 232. If you must use ir, iMerge has a .ccf file of thier ir commnads on their site. You can import ir commands from a .ccf w/ the newer versions of DEAL.

I've can't find the module and I just don't get why I can't get the IR to work. The two way communication doesn't matter in this system. It is a retro into an existing system that is one way only.

For whatever reason, the xiva ccf (in an RC5000) then taught to the cnxlir worked. It would not learn from the native remote(new duracells), the Crestron driver was inconsistant(I have had more than a few problems with their IR drivers)
jcmitch, if you could direct me to the imerge module I would appreciate it. Thanks for the help guys.

It's available through Crestron's "Design Center", under Dealer Tech Resources. The module is actually a group of separate modules for single zone, multizone, and recording functions.
