What do you guys think about the Vidikron Model 40? Have any of you installed and calibrated one. Or even better, have you seen it side by side with the Sharp vision 12000U?

wouldn't pay the price of EITHER of them over the SP7200 and soon to be released 7205...

If I had to choose though, it would Definitley be the vidikron, for support alone!

I would go with the vidikron, mainly because the only 2 infocus/toshiba projectors i have used had a nice smiley face look to the bottom of the screen which i found out from our rep was a known design flaw (how nice for me) actually it worked out better for our customer who got a vision 40 at one hell of a price thanks to vidikron who actually wanted to help us out, well maybe that was the rep, but anyway the vidikron also has discretes, i'm not sure about the sharp i haven't used one for about 7 or 8 years

Vidikron Model 40 is a fantastic projector. Great picture, good black level thanks to special lens. All discrete codes including memory presets. Great company to work with also. I wouldn't touch a Sharp.

Infocus has all discrete codes, and I have not noticed any smiley face flaw. Infocus support is ok if you don’t mind waiting on the phone for 20 minutes. The Dreamvision Dreamweaver is the better version of the Screen play 7200, I have not been able to find one negative comment about Dreamvision projectors anywhere on line, and the picture is incredible, I decided to carry dreamvision products rather than the infocus products, for this reason. Oh and I sell the Sharp also, but I like the Dreamvision better.
