Um... Go direct with the manufactureres you want to deal with....
I'd also be shocked if there wasnt another distributor somewhere on the east coast... Lofs of manufacturers will have only one authorized distributor in a territory, so call the manufacturers thats AVAD doesnt sell, and ask them who the local distributor is....
AVAD's pretty big, but there are alternatives... Just gotta look...
Metron is a Natinal Distributor... C.E.D. is another.... You probobly have a Local A.D.I. ANd several Rep firms also distribute....

Try Fred at Capitol Sales, www.capitolsales.com 1-800-INSTALL. Some of the same lines as AVAD, and a wealth of knowledge to boot. He has saved my A** on many an occasion.

I will second that. Fred was my first contact in the industry and has been invaluable over the years. Capitol has a good selection of equipment and Fred is an experienced and honest guy. A true professional!

OK.. If you really wan't to hear some gushing about Capitol, do a search on my name and Capitol from the last Year.. It's Thom Elingson who is the man on a mision.. Capitol is great!

I'll second the vote for Fred. Great guy, capable tech support for the newer guy as well. The whole team there is very good. I'd heartily recommend them, especially for anyone in the north east trying to do business through the AVAD distributor.

I'd have to vote for Capitol, too. Thom is who I deal with, but all the guys I've talked to there have been pretty sharp...

I found the name NANCY as an admistative assistant for AVAD southern california...maybe he's just bringing their attention to the obvious unhappiness so many of us have expressed with AVAD nationwide recently...
