Thank you for the "non-scientific"..."bull-shit".

My advice,

And you are using the word "Friend" in your ID? Is this a new usage of the word, with which I am not familiar?

Note also that your tone completely belies your use of the word "Engineer" in your ID.

I see that you do not include an email address or other information in your profile. The number of posts you have made implies that you have been active here for less than two weeks.

Please take some time and look at LOTS of other posts before you continue. I think you will find that, while many of us get pretty testy and sarcastic from time to time, especially when confronted with idiotic posts, you will probably have to look through a thousand posts to find any responses as nasty as yours.

Please lighten up.

UH OH, I sense I have gone too far. Just trying
to shake things up....

Much as Osama Bin Laden did a while ago....

I've upped my standards, so up yours.

Oooooh, aren't we clever?

P.S. Roddy, you started it.

Roddy made some observations and asked for comments. You did indeed go way too far.

rhm...

gimme a break...

I flame all the time with my OWN ego...and I'm QUITE sure that EF is an engineer, which I am not...you see all that weird shit he's posted on my other threads...

I believe what I've posted, and I believe he's a few cards short of a deck...

now come on...you sat across from me, got me stupid drunk, and listened to me babble...could I come up with some of that?

I would definitely have the sack (sans operational juevos) to flame with my own name!

OK can someone please enlighten me? What does oxygen free wire do for me? I didn't know regular extruded copper had much oxygen to begin with.
How hard can this be?

Oxygen Free copper is supposed to have longer grains of copper. This is supposed to result in better transmission charcteristics.

For addition info check out some of the cable company sites such as Cardas ...etc.

OK, how do you quantify better transmission characteristics?

How do quanitfy transmission characteristics in audio? That's a subjective thing in audio, but maybe I should have said acoustical characteristics.

I believe there is another heated thread on this forum discussing cables, so I wanted to make sure that I was politically correct. Nah, I was trying to stay under the radar and above the flame throwers, but I've been spotted, damn.

I don't know... you're pretty smart...

Just giving you a hard time as you knwo I like to do. EF... same thing... since you didn't flame me out, I feel slightly bad now... but not that bad.

Anybody (everybody) else putting in 80 hour weeks right now? All I know is I love this biz but I'm beginning to wonder what my wife and kids look like. I always go through this during the "gotta have it done by Christmas" rush. I sit here in cold rainy Washington... dreaming of a tropical beach, a tan, a babysitter, a wife and two strong drinks... sand between my toes... the sound of the ocean... etc. etc. etc. Unfortunately my sleeping dreams are of wires and connectors and ONQ panels and people calling me at all hours for progress reports... AAAAAGGGGHHHH! I can't f----g take it anymore!!!! Someone slap me and bring me back to a balanced life!

I know your pain, like I said earlier that we are working here on the california coast. On the strand here in beautiful Hermosa Beach to be exact. At least we get to take our lunch breaks on the sand.

Its dark by the time we are done its amost like torture, not really sunny and in the high 60s. Oh well, the rush will be over soon enough.

It got to 38 degrees here today...although most of the day was high 20's with wind chills in the teens and single digits...

There's sand here too...it's on the roads! Which is more than I can say for many of the drivers lately...4 wheel drive and anti-lock brakes do NOT mean you a f&*%&^N hercules!

The only beach I've seen lately had sex in the title, and a lot of booze in the glass!

quit your bitchin! at least the water falling from YOUR sky isn't in the form of six sided ice cubes!

WUSS!

he he he...just funnin!

Gottcha, nobody minds being messed with. As you have read, some go way to deep. Thats the last arguement I ever start here;). I learned ever so much from it.

I was just rubbing it in, I wish we had this job in July or August though. Its just like what you see in the movies, tan goddesses EVERWHERE :)wearing very little I might add.

Just sweats and windbreakers these day, you know these are cold days out here for us on the left coast:).

I'm still having trouble understanding exactly what characteristics we are talking about. Longer grains of metal I understand, but how does that translate into better audio. Not trying to start a war here, just want to know the truth.
