Hello
I will have multizone amplifier and home theatre system installed in two different locations; I want to use the HT output (line level) as one of the sources for multizone amp. I will have enough twisted pair cables between locations. The question I have - what equipment should I use to convert audio signals to/from twisted pair?

P.S. I've seen some adapters on the web, but I would like to get someone's personal opinion.

Thanks
Andrew

I have used the kramer units with good results (componsite + audio.

I also beleive the Sonance units are quite successful for just audio.

Do you mean active (powered) converters from Kramer?

Thanks

Thanks to all.
Last question - if passive baluns are good, what was the reason to use active devices like Audio Control ?

Thanks again
Andrew

If you need to have IR control as well, Elan makes a piece called an IRWAP that sends balanced audio and IR over a single cat 5. It is line balanced for low noise and can send audio sgnal over a thousand feet. I have used many of these with great success
