Hi:

Any suggestions for a switcher/router that handles both component (3-wire RGB) and Y/C video. Both digital and analog audio must follow. The outputs for component and Y/C need to be discreet and the whole mess needs to be controlled via IR. I need a minimum of 4 Y/C inputs and 2 RGB.

Thanks

Thats all nice, but what kind of OUTPUTS do you need? A RGBHV switcher will handle Componant and S-Video just fine......

Well, I would suggest using separate simple switchers for that app then. TVone makes some pretty innexpive switchers for both component and S-Video under the AVToolbox brand

I've used the Simas in the past with good results... The AVToolbox units are cheaper and work just as good.

The one nice thing about the Sima Composit/Svideo switch is that it upconverst composite to S-Video.. QUite handy in a situation where your dealing with VCRS and Standard satellite boxes and such.

If Sima has a Component switch, I havent used it yet....
