I need to convert IR ('shooting' out of an Elan Via! Valet panel) to RF to control a TV lift, drapes, fireplace, Lutron Homeworks, and possibly a Craftmatic adjustable bed.
Any ideas of a box that will accomplish this?
Thanks,
APA

Ugrade him to the new RF VIa thats coming out someday???
Sell him a AMX or Crestron remote thats native RF??
Use a goofy Pyramid style RF repeater system that may or may not work proporly???
Vias are meant to be Hard wired.. Are you planning on doing RF video to the panel???

Impaqt, Thanks for the reply. No, I'm not planning on doing RF video to the panel. I am just hoping for a 'silver bullet' solution to this problem. I'll probably end up converting all of the devices I mentioned in the first post to IR for compatablity with the Via!.
Thanks,
Alex

Ah... Well thats a different scenario then.....
To answer your initial question...
There is NO way to control RF devices directly with an Elan Via. Wireless or not... IR and RS-232 are your only options. (ANd RS-232 is an OPTION, not standard with the Vias)
