Have a Starfire connected to a 2310ci, but the client hasn't moved in yet so aside from set up nobody used the system...  Everything's been powered down except the sub stays on (connected to a Panamax).

Today I stopped by to meet the PBX vendor and while I was waiting I flipping through some DTV channels and noticed there was no sub...

Switched to DVD - no sub.  Switched to Sat radio - no sub...

Reset the 2310 and did one pass of the Audassy (never remember how to spell that...).  NO SUB...

Confirmed power, connection, etc., but nothing.  Put my ear to the grill and heard a slight pop, pop, pop sound...

Brought it back to the shop and sure enough - nothing...

It's late Friday so my distributor isn't around nor are the Velo guys...

Just thought I'd put it out there for your thoughts.

Wish I could help. I've had great luck with that sub. I'm very interested in what you find out.

Since you took it back to your shop and confirmed it was not working with other receiver and source then it looks like it needs to be exchanged or repaired. I'm not sure there isn't anything else that you can do short of opening it up yourself to troubleshoot and repair it yourself

Even velodyne has some bad units slip through from time to time.

Yea, I've never had a problem with them and there is nothing to reset or power cycle...

I'll let you know Monday.

ive used those babies on alot of jobs. very impressed for the price. Iver never had one do tat. so either the sub was blown by the h-o or the thing is mismanufactured. your vendor should trade it out no prob. i wouldn't go as far as to say that this co is producing bad material, as much as i would agree with anyhomeneeds as to say after all it is a piece of plastic, wood, silicone and paper + electricity. yeah your going to have failure rate, but i would nt say the product is bAD, for the more than reason,,,,, i love those subs.
hey! it works!

They changed it out no questions asked so I don't know if we'll ever know....

Home owner hasn't moved in yet so the only action it saw was set up and it was connected directly to a Panamax M4300-PM...
