So i requested my disk not even a week ago and just received it today. I quickly activated it and I must say that this is very cool.

No search option for titles but the the interface is pretty slick and easy to use. video quality is better then ive seen on other netflix players.

I have fios 20/5 and the Videos load almost instantly for me with no delay. I am very pleased and cant wait for the option to "permanently" download the function on ps3 in the meantime this will more then suffice.

can you stream or download HD material? I have seen a few bluray players that have streaming video from online sources but all in standard definition.
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.

Yes, its all HD. I was watching "The Office" & "Pearl Harbor" it was clear and to the average consumer no difference in video quality...Far surpasses on-demand HD IMO

Do you need to use the disc every time you want to use Netflix or does it download to the PS3.

Insert Disc each time. Here is an article about the embedded version of Netflix for the PS3.

there is no search function that I know of, kind of annoying but im sure thats in the works.

Used it over the weekend and love it, I thought streaming the movies would be kind of dumb but works great and they have a few great titles.
