soooo . . ive asked this before. but maybe i can get a better answer now.
i need a baby monitor with two handsets and that wont interfere with my RF remotes. and that doesnt suck.

any recommendations ?

Isn't there an app for that?

Actually if you need a portable baby monitor, that one will do just fine. However, If you have Cat5 to the rooms the OnQ stuff is pretty slick.

The truth is that you are only days away from developing ultra sensitive hearing and sleeping lighter than you ever have. It is strange how many ways that kids change your life.

interesting,

is the OnQ stuff good?
never used it.

i was actually contemplating getting a pani 824 3 pack system
with a door intercom . .

i just moved in to my new house (rental)
and we dont have a front door bell (the side one does work)

i also need house phones now that we have a baby (wife insists on having a stationary phone of some sort )

and we need intercoms.

trying to weigh out the costs

so far i have been quite the heavy sleeper
as my mother and wife tend to the baby at night.

i hope those extra senses pop in soon!

I really like the OnQ stuff for basic installs. Check out the OnQ Unity since this is a rental we are talking about. Im not sure how much you plan on doing to the house but Unity delivers quite a few options at track home prices.

Congrats on the new baby. Its the greatest joy you'll ever know.

I doubt you have figured out yet that you have traded spontinaity, romance, rest, peace and quite, organization, and sex for crying, cold meals, having unknown supstances on you, post pardum (yeah, thats a fun one), an increase in fights with your wife (mainly due to her lack of sleep and her resentment to you being a heavy sleeper), all of your prized posessions being damaged in some form, stepping on hard toys with pointy corners, and stepping squishy things that best case are uneaten food; worst case food that was eated.

But you will have more hallway sex.

Im sure you dont believe me yet, but when you find yourself in the baby clothes section saying, "oh that dress would look so adorable on her!" you'll remember my words and know I speak volumes of wisdom.

Me too. I speak from experience.

Bill Cosby had a good bit about motherhood years ago on his HBO special "Bill Cosby Himelf". He talks about being on a flight with a mother and 3 y/o/ When they board the plane the mother is beautiful, well dressed, hair perfect, meticulous. By the end of the flight, well she doesnt look like the same woman. At the end of the gate her well rested husband is waiting. When she gets to her husband, she decks him in the middle of the airport.
